Over the course of his professional career, Mario competed in 20 professional bouts and became the Canadian Lightweight Champion at 21 years old. He fought professionally across Canada and the United States, including in Edmonton and Las Vegas, and shared the ring with notable fighters such as Tony Pep in a Canadian Lightweight Championship bout. At one point in his career, he was ranked among the top lightweight fighters internationally.

Mario’s boxing experience extends beyond Canada, having trained internationally in countries such as Spain and Mexico, where he further developed his technical understanding of the sport and exposure to different styles of training and competition.

Since transitioning from competition, Mario has continued his dedication to boxing as a coach and trainer since 2004. He is also the founder and promoter of Brawl on Bay Street, one of the first corporate boxing events of its kind in Toronto and Ontario. Known for his technical approach, professional experience, and passion for the sport, Mario has worked with athletes of varying skill levels, from beginners building fundamentals to fighters preparing for competition.

Mario brings a deep respect for boxing fundamentals, discipline, and firsthand professional experience that he now passes on to the next generation of athletes.
